Looking at myself in the mirror every morning usually gets it started. You had a cracking year last season and got a NSW contract for your trouble. What are your goals for the coming season?Continue scoring plenty of runs and keeping well. I would love to push my way back into the Shield side for NSW and ultimately do my part to win another Premiership for the Tahs. How did you find your first pre-season in a couple of years go with the Blue this year? Has your previous experience with the state squad been handy for you this time around? It was great to do a full pre season with the Blues, knowing this time what to expect. It's a tough 8-12 week period however a rewarding one. Having fellow Manly boys like Mickey and SOK during that period certainly helps. Our first grade side is again one of the strongest on paper this year. Where do you think the season for 1st grade will be won and lost?I believe our first grade side is the strongest on paper and on the field. We have a tough start to the season playing 3 or 4 teams expected to be playing around finals time. So it will a good test for the boys, a few wins early and a couple tough opening rounds should set up the season ahead. It has been great to see you move to the Northern Beaches over the last 12 or so months, what have you enjoyed about the area so far?Who wouldn't want to live here? Coming from the Central Coast and living on the beach up there the lifestyle is as close to home as you will get. I love the relaxed atmosphere of the beaches and that it is still only 30-40 mins into training at the SCG.Who is the best cricketer that you have played with?Lucky enough to play with quite a few champion cricketers. Training most days with the likes of Nathan Lyon, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood is a great experience. The best cricketer I have played with though would still be Brad Haddin been a keeper to watch and learn of him during a few games is something I'll never forget. How would you go about impressing the girls of your dreams?Notch up a quick fire 100, followed by some more cricket chat, into a few schooners at the pub.Who at Manly would you most like to share a car trip to Campbelltown with?I've made a couple of long journeys now with Mickey, Nick and Tay, they are always enjoyable.Who at Manly would you least like to share a car trip to Campbelltown with?Matt Alexander, he would get a new injury or illness on the trip out and we wouldn't stop hearing about it.What do you think the club needs to improve on for the 2016/17 season? The club is very good across the board. Everyone can improve on different aspects of their game. If each player and coach strives to improve themselves personally the whole club will benefit. What is your most embarrassing moment on the field?A golden duck and a diamond duck in the same day.Who is your tip for the D.G. Medal this season for their work on the circuit? Some fantastic candidates this season. The Bankstown Bulldog Andrew Jamison looks strong early however getting married could hurt him. A tight race between two Sam's (Alexander and Gainsford) with a third Sam my roughie (Webber).Who's Manly Cricket shoes, either past or present, would you like to be in for a day?Not Skids they would be way too big. I said Tim Cruikshank last time for a different reason but this time he wins again, I'd love to play golf every day.Who were the best cricketers coming through the age groups with you?The best country player I came across was Josh Hazelwood his record now obviously speaks for itself and city based player was Jason Haywood who I think still floats around in Sutherland 2's.
