THERE is nothing more exciting in cricket than someone who bowls with genuine pace.
It creates an air of suspense over each delivery, and as a batter, it doesn’t matter how many games you have played there is always a feeling of apprehensionwhenfacing some at high speed.
It seems genuine fast bowlers are few and far between these days, but since our English import Nathan Buck has arrived, we have seen a few batsmen jumping around the crease.
‘Bucky’ has been a great addition to our side this season and although his figures maynot reflect the quality of his spells, I can’t help but feel it’s only a matter of time before he really rips through a side.
From what I have seen so far I think Bucky has the potential to reach ultimate heights.
Even if it is for the arch enemy, let’s hope that one day we see him playing an Ashes Test in his adopted home at the SCG.
Looking at today’s game, we will have our work cut out against Mosman.
They batted well to reach 8/364 at the close of play last Saturday and are definitely in the box seat. I’m looking forward to watching one of our top seven batsman put their hand up and score a massive century today at home.
I amconfident we can win, the deck is in good nick.
