Place of Birth
Mona Vale, Sydney
Nickname and why?
Mattoes, if you’ve seen my feet, you’d understand
Somewhere between 6-8 years
Years at Waratahs?
Our club tag line is “Bleed Blue”. What does Bleed Blue mean to you?
‘Bleed Blue’ in my eyes epitomises mate-ship at the club. It shows there’s a real strong bond not only within the club, but the community as a whole.
Who is the current Manly Cricketer that you enjoy playing cricket with the most and why?
Pretty hard to single out a single person, but if I had to, It would be hard to look past my brother Sam. Nothing better than competing in a sport with family, also it’s a constant reminder that the younger brother isn’t always the best.
Favourite band or musician?
If you could invite any 3 people to dinner, dead or alive, who would it be?
Charlie Sheen, Hugh Hefner and Shane Warne.
What is your earliest memory?
Getting my ‘Sling’ on at a real young age down the Newport nets.
Which Waratah team mate is the classiest dresser?
Pretty hard to look past ‘The Yak’ plenty of style and loves a scotch neat, what a man.
If the Manly Cricket playing group was Big Brother, who would you vote off first?
I’d have to say Billy D’Arcy, purely because no man is safe when he gets on a spraying spree.
Who do you think is in-line for a huge season this year?
I reckon Adam Crosthwaite is in for a massive season.
What are your team goals for 2017/18?
It would be great to notch up another club championship.
What puts a big smile on your face?
Rocking up to training 3 hours late and being told to ‘chuck the pads on’
If James Sutherland gave you the top for 1 day, what would you change about cricket in Australia?
So the best possible Xl are selected purely on form and not potential.
If you had an all expenses paid trip anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?
If you could go back in time and give anyone a piece of advice, who would it be and why?
I would tell myself to give up pace bowling and become a spinner.
If you could walk out to bat to any song blaring in the background, what would it be and why?
MGMT – Electric Feel
What are you currently saving up to buy?
My demerit points
What is your place of solace?
Curling in the squat rack
