Role Offers Bang For Buck

Bang For Buck
Bang For Buck
SOMETIMES statistics do not tell the full story.

An integral part of our first XI’s successful campaign to date has been the pace and aggression of English import Nathan Buck.

Although Bucky hasn’t taken the bag of wickets his performances have warranted, he has a great ability to set the tone and unsettle the opposition.

The experience that he has brought from his time in the England A side has also proved absolutely invaluable to the other bowlers at the club.

KEY PLAYER

TODAY we play St George in a return to two-day cricket, before we line up against them again in a one-day quarter-final tomorrow.

We will be boosted by the return of spinning allrounder Ahillen Beadle after he was included in the Sydney Thunder squad for last Saturday’s T20 Big Bash game against the Sydney Sixers.

AB was unlucky to be named 12th man for that fixture and a representative debut is surely just around the corner.

The balance he brings to our side as our frontline spinner and one of top-order batsmen is immeasurable.

GOOD TIMES AHEAD

THE future of the club is in safe hands.

Our junior representative sides have continued to win trophies, with the under-14 DCA side claiming the Graeme Malcolm Shield in Newcastle last weekend.

This is the first time a Manly side has won this trophy and completes a clean sweep for the team after it won the Harold Moore Shield in December.
It is a great credit to our junior reps administrators for the great work they are putting into our pathway program.
