The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.
Since their inception in 1994, NBCF has invested over $200 million into more than 600 world-class research projects across Australia.
In this time, the death rate from breast cancer in Australia has reduced over 40%.
Each season the Manly Warringah Waratahs hold a National Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser. It has proved to be an absolute hit with all attendees and will be on again in 2024/25.
The aim of the day is to raise money and awareness for breast cancer through our partners at the National Breast Cancer Foundation, but these days are not just about awareness, information or funds. They are also about having fun, and we always do that in spades.
Last year we had Melinda Gainsford Taylor chairing a panel that included breast cancer survivors and Dr Karen Shaw from The Northern Beaches Hospital. Karen is a specialist breast surgeon and was a fountain of knowledge.
Anthony Caruso, well known around the Northern Beaches cricketing circles, was our MC for the day and did a fantastic job as he always does.
This event will be part of our calendar in 2024/25. Keep your ear to the ground for more information.
