Brewer Shield Girls make NSW Under 15 Representative Squad

The TravelSIM Manly Warringah Waratahs are proud to announce the selection of three Brewer Shield Players in the NSW Girls under 15 squad.

Brewer Shield Captain Robyn Medley, along with Chelsea McLerie and Sienna James (pictured), were all selected in the under 15s squad, after strong performances in the clubs first ever season in the Brewer Shield.

The performances of the girls during the Brewer Shield season, which played a big part in their selection, are even more impressive considering that the competition is an under 17’s age group, and all three girls were therefore playing 2 or more years up.

Robyn Medley showed great talent and skill during the 2017/18 season, being the 3rd leading run score with 134 runs and leading the wicket tally with 11 wickets, including sensational figures of 5/12 in one match. Medley also topped the leader board with both bat and ball, in the Brewer Shield T20 side, making 61 runs at an average of 30.50 and taking 4 wickets at an average of 5.25.

Sienna James was also impressive during the seasons, scoring 39 runs, taking 6 wickets during the regular season, and making strong contributions with bat and ball during the T20 Competition.

Lastly, Chelsea McLerie showed strong from in the Brewer Shield, as well as her under 13 representative side, earning a spot up an age group in the under 15s squad, bypassing the under 14 academy squad. It is a highly impressive feat from Chelsea and demonstrates her potential.

In addition, we would like to congratulate the following Manly Junior girls, 5 of whom were also playing in the Brewer Shield, for making the NSW under 13 and under 14 academy squads.
