The Mounties Manly Warringah Waratahs are thrilled to announce the signing of two outstanding players from the NSW Breakers, Hannah Darlington and Anika Learoyd, for the upcoming 2024/25 NSW Premier Cricket season.
Their addition to our Women’s top squad marks a significant milestone for the club as we aim to strengthen our team and push for 1st grade honours.
About the Players:
Hannah Darlington
Hannah Darlington is a dynamic all-rounder who has made a name for herself in Australian cricket with her exceptional skills and leadership qualities. At just 22 years old, she has already captained the Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and represented the Australian national team. Known for her powerful bowling and aggressive batting, Hannah’s experience and talent will be invaluable to the Tahs. Her ability to perform under pressure makes her a formidable addition to our squad.
Darlington said she can’t wait for the season ahead.

Anika Learoyd
Anika Learoyd is a promising young batter with a bright future ahead of her. She has been a consistent performer for the NSW Breakers, demonstrating her capability to anchor innings and score big runs. Anika’s technique and composure at the crease have earned her accolades, and she is seen as one of the rising stars of Australian cricket. Her dedication and work ethic are sure to inspire her teammates and add depth to our batting lineup.
Anika said she was exciting to be joining the club.
“Having seen from afar the inclusive and family-oriented club culture of Manly, I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it,” said Anika.
“This coming season promises to be an exciting one for the club and I am stoked to have the chance to be involved.”
The arrival of Darlington and Learoyd signals Manly Cricket Club’s ambition to compete at the highest level in the NSW Premier Cricket competition. Club President Andrew Fraser expressed his excitement about the new additions.
