Cricket Australia has offered players, parents and officials within the Manly Cricket Community the opportunity to complete their level 1 coaching course free of charge.
The Level 1 certification, or Community Coach Accreditation, allows participants to further their coaching ability, and develop the skills for coaching cricket.
Lasting approximately 2 hours, the course provides technical skills, game understanding, teaching techniques, effective ways to conduct training sessions and awareness of the factors motivating young people to play and enjoy cricket.
Participants in the course will be exposed to both theory and practical elements, to truly better their coaching ability, and allow for the best development of their skills.
The Cricket Australia funded course will be held at the ‘Room at the Top’ at Manly Oval and is open to those over the age of 14.
For the course to be held, there must be a minimum of 10 participants, so if you are interested, please contact club secretary Steve Beatty via email on beatty@ozemail.com.au.
