The Raydel Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to confirm the appointments of Sallie Molyneux, Zara Shipp, Isaiah Vumbaca and Zach Trewartha as our Women’s and Men’s Club Captains for 2022/23.
Vumbaca and Trewartha take over from Sam Gainsford and Josh Wigney after a successful two seasons in the job.
Both local juniors and long term players at the club, Vumbaca and Trewartha have demonstrated their leadership skills on and off the field over the seasons, and it is a well deserved appointment for both men.
A mainstay of the Women’s playing group since its inception, Zara Shipp takes over from Claire Waddington for the 202/23 season
A winner of the second grade women’s premiership in 2020/21, Shipp has been a leader of the women’s group for some time now, and her appointment as club captain is a deserved recognition.
Molyneux will continue in her role as Club Captain, after a great debut season in the role in 2021/22.
All 4 have vowed to work closely together over the coming season to make sure that our Men and Women come together regularly and at the right times.
