International calling made easy – TravelSIM launch smartphone app

Those amazing people at TravelSIM have just made your travels even more effortless.

One of the things about international travel that never seems to get easier is the process of dialling overseas, Well our Major Sponsors at TravelSIM have just made the process easier with the launch of their new TravelSIM app.

The app removes the need to dial numbers in international format when travelling overseas. It has come about after a detailed analysis of 2 years worth of data that shows that 2 out of every 5 Australians that use their mobile phone overseas will call incorrectly atleast once.
TravelSIM General Manager Wade Heggie is not surprissed by this statistic and is therefore very excited about the new app.
“It’s completley understandable that people may dial incorrectly when travelling to another country, as we’re used to dialling like we do at home”, said Heggie. “It can be hard to determine where to include plus signs, as well as entering the correct country codes and remembering to drop leading zero’s and so forth. That’s why we have created our app – to allow TravelSIM customers to call locallly or back home without needing to worry about international dialling”.
The app allows users are to be able to call people direct from their mobile phone contact list without having to reformat any number, as well as dialling local numbers without having to use any country codes…. brilliant.
Another feature of the app is off-line mapping, which allows customers to navigate foreign cities without using any data. This is ontop of a wide range of other handy features.
The app is available exclusivley for TravelSIM customers, is offered to customers at no charge, and is compatible with iPhone and Android phones.
