Movember – Manly Effort by the Waratahs

The Waratahs once again rallied around Movember this year with the boys coming together to support Men’s Health. There was some respectable growth spotted on the upper lip of several boys this year, with none more filthy than Joel Masons. He is currently under the close eye of local authorities, and has been given a life ban of selling candy to small children.

Cancer is an issue is that’s very prevelant in today’s society, and it is especially close to many hearts of cricketers on the Northern Beaches. There have been several health concerns for some of our loved ones at MWDCC in recent times, so it’s been great to see all of the support shown by everyone at the club.

The Manly boys raised a mammoth $2195 this year for Movember, coming in at 5th place out of all of the Sydney Cricket Association clubs. Greg “Butch” Boyer managed to raise nearly half of that total himself, bringing in $1075 towards Men’s Health! Special mention to our brothers at Warringah Cricket Club, who topped the SCA fundraising with a whopping $7043.
