2014/15 Grand Final venues named as Manly Oval hosts 3rd Grade decider

The details of the coming Grand Final weekend has been confirmed.

We are hosting a Grand Final at Manly Oval for the 2nd year in a row, with Warren Evan’s 3rd Grade side looking to get over the line after qualifying as the top team. We are indebted to Manly Rugby for again being so accommodating with our wishes to host a grand final, it is great to see such collaboration between the 2 clubs.

1st Grade will be at North Sydney Oval against Bankstown in a match that pits the 2 best teams this season against one another in what should be a thrilling contest. Bankstown got the better of us in the one-day grand final earlier this season, but the boys are on fire at the moment and looking forward to taking on the Bulldogs.

2nd Grade won an amazing match against Bankstown to qualify for the GF. They will be coming up against the previously undefeated Sydney University at Sydney University Oval number 1. However, we said it during 1st grade’s unbeaten run earlier this season, the more wins you have, the closer you are to a loss. Skipper Rowan Hamman has his boys playing as a team and playing for each other, and are in with a huge change of bringing home the bacon.

5th Grade are playing Northern Districts at Mark Taylor Oval at Waitara in a match for the ages. The Tahs hold no fears and have a quality line-up, with depth in both batting and bowling. They are a team that is never down and never out.

1st Grade and 2nd grade are 3 day matches going across Saturday, Sunday and Easter Monday, while 3rd Grade and 5th Grade play on Saturday and Sunday. Play begins at 10am on Saturday, with the allotted 104 overs scheduled to finish at 5.30pm. Of course Day-Light savings end’s on Saturday night, with Sunday and Monday starting at 9am and ending at 4.30pm.

Please do all you can to get along to the games and support the boys. Go Manly.
