On Sunday the 23rd of March James Economides (Director of “Red Property”, a long-term sponsor of the Waratahs) will be partaking in the Annual Melanoma March. James and his family have been heavily affected by the deadly disease, with the unfortunate loss of his son a few years ago and thus are partaking in a great initiative to raise awareness and take action against melanoma. The purpose of the March is to remember those that have past, support those that are fighting and raise funds for research conducted at Melanoma Institute Australia.
The walk is occuring in Manly, starting at Lagoon Park opposite Kierle Park on Pittwater road and going to Manly Surf Club and back. James is thoroughly encouraging everyone to get involved with the event, by either participating or donating towards the cause. People can get details about the walk and register online at melanomamarch.org.au or just get there early on the day. The walk begins at 9am and goes for approx 40 minutes.
James has also commissioned Mambo to design a bandana to sell online for $5, with all profits going towards Melanoma Research. There will be around 10 surf shops selling them locally including his own business Red Property. The bandana’s will also be available on the day of the March as well.
