We are absolutely chuffed to hear that the recent Archie Gray celerity cricket event has raised over $86,000.
Archie Gray tragically passed away from brain cancer on the 8th November 2022 after being diagnosed 11 and a half months before. He was an aspiring young cricketer coming through the grades at Western Suburbs.
He was only 17 years of age.
Archie played his final game of cricket against Manly at Pratten Park, and spent his final days at Bear Cottage at Manly. So we have an instant connection with both Wests and Archie.
The match occurred on Wednesday 15th November between Manly and Wests at Pratten Park and included celebrities Steve Menzies, Michael Hooper, Brett Lee, Pat Richards and Reed Mahoney.
It was a great event with a big crowd, plenty of big hits and an amazing array of sporting talent. We had a blast and we hope everyone else did as well.
We are so happy and pleased to confirm that over $86k was raised for the Mark Hughes Foundation. There is still the opportunity to make a donation (although we are not sure when that time runs out). Visit https://hostyourown.markhughesfoundation.com.au/page/Archie26-28199881
