The Styleness Manly Warringah Waratahs have named sides for Men’s grades 3-5, and all women’s sides for the upcoming round. Men’s 1st and 2nd grade are heading into the second day of their 2-day matches against ND’s. A good round this week could see the tahs lead on the top of the club championship extend further from 2nd place Northern Districts.
Last week saw a strong performance amongst the grades for both men and women. Twin ton’s to Joel Foster and Jack Edwards has put 1’s in strong stead, while 2 wickets late in the day placed 2’s in a comfortable position. 3’s and 5’s both took home wins, while 4’s unfortunately lost narrowly due to DLS. Women’s 2’s and Brewers both got home with a win, with 2’s captain Mikaela Turik taking outstanding figures of 8-16 to lead from the front and get the win.
1st grade have a different side for the remainder of their match, as Jack Edwards, Ollie Davies and Steve O’Keefe all unavailable due to BBL duties. This gives room for Isaiah Vumbaca, Tom Kaye and first grade debutant Jacob O’Sullivan to play. Neal Prowse, Josh Wigney and Lachie Trewartha move up to 2’s to accomodate for the changes to 1’s.
3rd grade are boosted by young guns Roop Dhillon and Andrew Boulton, as well as Lachie Kerr. 4’s include 6 changes to last week’s side. Jack Melchiore, Alec Duly, Ollie Melville and Josh Cooper all move up from 5’s, while past players Max and Ed Burgess return to add some experience to the side. 5’s welcome 2 debutants in Raja Ganeshraj and Keelan Mendel, while veteran’s Simon Waddington and Damon Smith are added to the side to supply some much needed experience.
Brewer Shield name an unchanged side as they hunt for another win to continue their strong season so far. Women’s 2’s bring in 2 changes, with Kristie Crawford and Sienna James returning to the side, as they look to continue their unbeaten run so far.
Women’s 3rd Grade have named a very strong side, which will be required as they face Gordon in a semi final this week. They bring Jess Kaye and Cam Pryor back into the side as they fight for a spot in the final
