The Cachet Group Golf Day lived up to expectations with a terrific turnout and a great vibe at the magnificent Long Reef Golf Club on Friday 20 February 2026. After a strong early-morning field of around 120 players teed off, the day delivered both solid golf and plenty of social connection across the clubhouse.
Kicking off with breakfast, the groups made their way to the tee for a shotgun start and 18 holes in fantastic conditions. Participants enjoyed friendly competition across the course before regrouping for lunch back in the clubhouse.
Lunch was a highlight in its own right — a welcome occasion for sponsors, players both past and present, and members to catch up, swap stories and connect in a relaxed environment. With drinks on arrival and a lively atmosphere throughout, it was a great social finish to an excellent day on the course.
A standout moment of the afternoon was a Q&A session with Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who had earlier played with one of the competing teams. Starc’s insights and conversation added something special to the lunch experience and were very well received by those in attendance.
The club extends its sincere thanks to Josh and the team at Long Reef Golf Club for hosting us, to Cachet Group for their continued support as major sponsor of the day, and to all of our valued hole sponsors for their contribution.
We would also like to acknowledge Corpsure for putting up the $50,000 hole-in-one prize. While the major reward went unclaimed, it certainly added an extra layer of excitement for the day.
