The Mounties Manly Warringah Waratahs are please to announce our Green Shield Squad for the 2024/25 season.
Green Shield is arguably the strongest junior cricket competition in Australia. It is for U/16s Men with all 20 NSW Premier Cricket Clubs participating.
Kevin Davies is again coaching the side, with assistance from Henry Lucius as manager. The captain of the side it still to be confirmed.
As usual the team is mainly made up of local young talent, which is always a feature of our Green Shield squads.
We also have two talented players joining us from the Country in Harry O’Brien and Austin Hunt.
This years squad is:
- Lachlan Coy
- Lucas Gleeson
- Joshua Godwin
- William Graham
- Darcy Horstead +
- Stewart Hurt
- Austin Hunt
- Rohit Jayaram
- Harvey Matheson
- Murray Moran
- Harry O’Brien
- Angus Pike
- Freddie Schneidereit
- William Toohey +
- Thomas Walker
Despite a historic premiership last year, our first in the competition since 1991-92, only Thomas Walker remains from last years squad, owing to the challenging nature of age group competitions.
That being said, Kev and the boys are raring to go, and will no doubt make a strong push in defending the Tahs title.
The season stretches from Tuesday 17th December when we take on Eastern Suburbs in our first match away from home, all the way through to Thursday 16th January when we take on Sydney at Drummoyne Oval, with a break for Christmas and the New Year.
Best of luck to Kev and the entire squad.
