It’s finally upon us, with the Manly Warringah Junior Representative teams beginning their quest for premiership glory this coming weekend.
It’s been a long time coming. Selection trials and training began months ago, and the amount of hard work put in by parents, volunteers and officials has meant that the players are as ready and raring to go as they have ever been.
Most of our grade players have come through the Junior Representative ranks and have been where all the junior players are at the moment….. nervous about the first game, excited about what is to come, and proud to be representing the Manly Warringah community with their mates.
Last year we won Premierships in the U/15’s, with multiple teams also making the Grand Final and Semi Finals. All of our teams and players have grand ambitions for the coming season, but no matter what is achieved the grade club could not be prouder of all of our junior players and teams.
The draw for the games this Sunday are as follows:
- Under 11 Creak Shield vs Penrith – Harbord Park – 10am start
- Under 12 Cawsey Shield vs St George – Lionel Watts – 10am start
- Under 13 Gee Shield vs Northern Districts – Sommerville Park – 10am start
- Under 14 Moore Shield vs St George – Old Parks 1 – 10am start
- Under 15 Weblin Shield vs Newcastle – Mike Pawley – 10am start
- Under 16 Watson Shield vs Parramatta – Old Kings Oval – 10am start
Please get along to support the boys where you can. Good luck to all teams. Play hard and play fair.
