Justene Gordon thanks girls on behalf of Burdekin

Justene Gordon, CEO of the Burdekin Association, attended girls’ training tonight to say a big thank you for participating in the Pub2Pub fun run and being part of the $13,000 raised by the Waratahs. We were the 3rd largest team and raised more money than any other group. She presented a certificate of appreciation to Ross Denny which he accepted on behalf of the girls.

Justene also spoke about how female sport is on an equal footing with male sport these days. She pointed out to the girls that they may not know it but they are actually role models inspiring other girls and women to get involved in sport and understand that attitudes are changing. Justene was very inspirational and it was fantastic to hear her address our female playing group like that.
