Local junior Jack Edwards selected for Australia A Tour of India

The Manly Warringah Waratahs are thrilled to announce that one of our own, local junior Jack Edwards, has been selected in the Australia A squad to tour India next month. This is a significant achievement for Jack and a proud moment for everyone at our club who has followed his journey from a talented youngster in our junior ranks to one of the brightest prospects in Australian cricket.

The Australia A side will travel to India for two four-day matches in Lucknow, followed by three one-day fixtures in Kanpur. The tour will provide valuable experience in subcontinental conditions, with challenging pitches and high-intensity cricket offering an ideal preparation ground for players pushing for higher honours.

Jack’s selection is further recognition of his outstanding form and leadership qualities. Being the current New South Wales captain and having led Australia A in a four-day clash against the England Lions, he brings both skill and maturity to the squad. His ability to perform under pressure, adapt to different conditions, and inspire those around him makes him a key asset for the national setup.

For the Waratahs, seeing Jack in Australian colours is a reminder of what’s possible through hard work, dedication, and a strong connection to the local cricket community. He is a role model for our junior players, showing that the pathway from Manly Oval to the international stage is well and truly alive.

Everyone at the club congratulates Jack on this latest achievement and wishes him the very best for what promises to be an exciting and challenging tour of India. We look forward to following his progress closely and can’t wait to see him continue to make the Waratahs proud.
