Matt White confirmed as host of “The Business of Sport” Breakfast

The Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to be hosting its 2nd Business of Sport Breakfast at the Manly Pacific Hotel on Friday, 24th October 2025.

In further good news, we have been able to confirm that Matt White, one of the best sports broadcasters in Sydney, will be MCing the event.

Matt has years of Media experience and will bring calmness and clarity to proceedings. His own intimate knowledge of the sports and media industries will only add to the occasion.

Brought to you by Gibson MacNeill Lawyers, this event promises engaging discussions on the intersection of business and sport.

Kicking off with breakfast at 7am, you will have the opportunity to hear from our panel of experts from 7:30am to 9am, which includes Pat Cunningham, Ed Sanders and Nick Stace. All three speakers have extensive and diverse experience in the sports industry and will provide great insight into the Business of Sport.

Pat Cunningham is the Head of Sponsorship at Westpac. Pat and Westpac have recently brokered a deal with Cricket Australia to become the Principal Partner of CA, including front of shirt positioning for all Men’s and Women’s National teams, and official partner of the WBBL and BBL.

Pat also overseas Westpac’s agreements with the National Rugby League and State of Origin teams. As a result, Pat has a unique insight into the current position of Sport as a Business.

Ed Sanders is the Chief Commercial Officer at Cricket Australia. He has extensive commercial and marketing experience across a variety of industries and was previously a top-level executive at both Google and YouTube. He started as the CCO at Cricket Australia in July 2024.

Sanders led CA’s most recent acquisition of Westpac as its Major Partner, with Cunningham on the other side of the table. Their face-to-face insights will be invaluable.

Finally, guests will also be able to hear from Nick Stace, Senior Commercial Manager at Nielsen. Nick is a leader in the field of data driven analytics in the sporting world and will look at the Business of Sport from a quantitative viewpoint.

With tickets at only $80 per person, or $600 for a table of 8, don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to network with local business leaders and gain valuable insights from top sports professionals. Includes full breakfast and coffee.
