The Styleness Manly Warringah Waratahs have named sides for Men’s grades 1-5, Women’s 2’s, 3’s, and Brewers. The Men’s grades come up against Sydney University in a One-Dayer for the final regular round of the season. Women’s 3’s play their all important grand final against rivals Gordon, while Brewer’s and W2’s play semi final cricket on Sunday.
Last round was spectacular for the tahs, with 4 out of 5 men’s sides taking home the win, and all 3 women’s sides winning. It placed the Men’s club 25 points behind 1st placed Northern District on the club championship. A big round this weekend and other results going the tahs way could see the club jump ND’s to clinch the trophy. A win for Women’s 3rd grade tomorrow could be a momentous occasion for the club, with it possibly being the first premiership for the women’s club since it was rebooted in 2018/19.
1st grade suit up similar to last round, however Ryan Hadley comes back in for Morne Morkel, and Joel Foster returns for the injured Jake Carden. Neal Prowse returns to 2nd grade to accommodate for Foster going to 1’s, while Mickey Edwards moves up to 2’s as well. 3’s welcome back Jordan Daly as they push to secure a home final birth. James Waddington and Michael Visser return to 4th grade, while 5’s welcome Liam Dinan back as they push for the all important top 6 placing.
Women’s 2’s and Brewer’s retain the same sides for this weekends semi finals. Women’s 3rd grade take a squad of 14 into their GF clash with Gordon, with the strongest 12 to be selected on the day.
