After another successful 2024 campaign, the Manly Warringah Waratahs are once again taking part in Movember in 2025 as part of our Manly for Manly Community Program.
We raised $12k in 2023 and then $14k in 2024, so we are aiming to go even bigger, setting a target of $15,000 for Movember 2025.
We’re doing it for the fathers, partners, brothers, sons and friends in our lives. Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health, and aim to raise money to fund game changing mental health initiatives, cancer research, therapy and support services. They know what works for men – and what doesn’t.
In Australia, men die 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
- 3 out of 4 suicides are men.
- Suicide is the leading cause of death among Aussie men aged 15-44.
- 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer before they’re 85.
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young Aussie men.
