A STRING of bad results has left our season hanging on by a thread.
We have had opportunities to secure a finals spot but we have failed to capitalise on key moments.
Our recent performances have been well under par from the high standards we have set throughout the season but, with a number of results falling our way last weekend, we have a shot at redemption when we face Hawkesbury at Manly Oval today and tomorrow.
A win will all but guarantee a place in the finals and a loss will almost certainly end our season.
We have committed to a change of attitude towards our preparation.
Success never comes easy and we have found ourselves expecting to win games of cricket without doing the hard work.
This week we will be leaving no stone unturned.
TALENT NEVER AGES
IT WAS great to see some Manly legends strap the pads back on last Sunday and show they can still get the job done out in the middle.
In our Past v Present game the old boys were way too strong for our current players in an upset win.
It was great to see our coaches Phil Marks and Shawn Bradstreet back out in the middle dispatching our bowlers.
All in all, the day was a huge success to remember Fiona Lyon and raise money for the Jane McGrath foundation.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
