The Mounties Group Manly Warringah Waratahs have raised over $11k for the Movember campaign this year.
The total of $11,848 is the highest amount raised by the club in its years doing Movember, bettering last year’s sum of $7,135. It also went well past our target of $8,000.
It’s a credit to all of the Men’s Playing Group who got behind the campaign, as well as all of those who donated to such a worthy cause.
Community Manager Phill Edwards said he was especially pleased about the combined total from the boys.
“In previous years we would have an individual raising almost 80% of the funds,” said Edwards.
“However, this year it was a great contribution from many of our players. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the final outcome”.
“Matt Sunshine was the standout, raising $4k. It’s an almighty effort by everyone. Next year, let’s do $15k”.
Phill got down to training to present Matt with a voucher and certificate to thank him for his efforts as our highest fundraiser.
