Tahs take Premier Cricket to Orange

The Mounties Manly Warringah Waratahs have confirmed we will be taking on Western Suburbs District Cricket Club in a Premier Cricket match in Orange this coming December.

The match will be Round 9 of the Men’s 1st Grade competition on Saturday 16th December. It will start at 2pm and finish at 9.30pm.

It will be preceded by a coaching clinic for all local junior cricketers. It will go from 10am to 11.30 and will be run by Central West Country Cricket, as well as both the Manly and Wests players.

It’s a great privilege to be able to take our match to NSW Country to do our bit for cricket across the state. While we do talk a lot about our home grown players, the reality is that the club has been blessed with countless players from the country who have bled for our club over many years.

It is home to current Waratah players Lachlan Coyte, Josh Coyte and George Cumming.

Without country players, neither our club or any of the 20 Premier Men’s Cricket clubs in Sydney would thrive.

It’s been a fantastic collaborative effort between ourselves, Cricket NSW, Wests, Orange Cricket and Orange Council. All parties have been very accommodating and we are thrilled that the idea has come to fruition.
