Twilight Women’s Cricket League comes to Manly Warringah

The Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to announce that the Twilight Women’s Cricket League is coming to the Northern Beaches this summer.

After much collaboration between ourselves and Cricket NSW, we can confirm that the new League will begin on Wednesday 31st January and finish on Wednesday 20th March.

All games will go from 6pm to 7.30 every Wednesday. Passmore Reserve and Nolans Reserve have been booked in for the almost 2-month event. Registration is available or Women over the age of 16.

The cost of the entire season is $125 and includes all National Registration fees, including insurance.

This is a huge step forward for the Women’s game on the Northern Beaches. The goal is for girls from the junior association to eventually feed into this League, which would then feed into Premier Cricket via our W3s side as a starting point.

Of course, with this League being of a social nature, players who love this form of the game can continue playing there without looking for higher honors.

The League will be administered by CNSW to begin with, however eventually it will fall into the realm of the game at a local level and administered by MWCA/MWJCA.

Players can register in 2 ways:

  1. Players can register individually (with no connection to a cricket club) at the link below and may indicate that they wish to be in a specific team or with specific friends within the registration process. Click here to register.
  2. Players can register directly to their local cricket club and may indicate that they wish to be in a specific team or with specific friends within the registration process. See below registration links or all 8 participating clubs:

If you have any questions at all, visit www.twilightwomenscricket.com. You can also reach out to Waratahs board member Ross Denny who will be able to guide your enquiry to the right place – Ross.Denny@honeywell.com or 0415 039320.

We believe this is going to be a game changer for Women’s Cricket on the Northern Beaches and would encourage anyone who has an interest in participating to get involved.

Happy cricketing.
