Umpire Training Course

Umpiring is a great way to stay involved in the game, as many will tell you “it is the best seat in the house!” And it’s a fantastic way to meet fellow cricket lovers and make new friends.
It is open to men and women of all ages and stages of life. Umpires range from young people wanting to be involved in cricket to retirees wanting to stay active and participate in a worthwhile community activity on a weekend. If you want to be an umpire, and make a contribution to cricket, there is a place for you umpiring Australia’s favourite sport in one of our many competitions in NSW.
Prospective umpires need to complete a training course on the Laws of Cricket. This will be facilitated by NSW Cricket Umpires & Scorers Association (NSWCUSA) starting on Tuesday 19 August 2014 in the Auditorium at Cricket NSW (Driver Avenue, Moore Park).
The five session course will be conducted over the following dates with each session commencing at 6.30pm and concluding not later than 9.30pm. The dates are August 19, 21, 26, 28 & September 2
If you have ever considered being involved in cricket as an umpire, then this training course is for you! So many who take up umpiring comment about how much they enjoy it. Umpires are remunerated for their service, an amount which well and truly covers any expenses incurred.
If you would like further details about this course then please contact Jay Lenton on Jay.Lenton@cricketnsw.com.au or (02) 83026044.
