Vale Lachlan Muldoon

It is with great sadness that we inform the local cricket community of the passing of Lachlan Muldoon, a much loved member of Manly Warringah junior club Peninsula Cricket Club.

Lachlan passed away last Tuesday the 13th of October after a very brave battle with brain cancer.

Lachlan loved sport as much as all 12 year olds, but he had a very special affiliation with cricket. He loved nothing more than being in the field with his mates on a Saturday or being at the nets with his father working on his game, and is the way that he will always be remembered.

Lachlan was actually picked for the Manly Warringah U/12 representative side last season but unfortunately could not turn out with his mates due to his illness. As you can see, not only was he extremley passionate, he was also extremley talented.

The entire local cricket community is greatly saddened by this absolute tragedy, from our brothers at Warringah Cricket Club, right through to all of the junior clubs around the peninsula.

We would like to offer our condolences to all of Lachies family, especially his father and former Warringah Cricket Club player Brendan Muldoon, as well as all his friends. We would like to remind them that our boys will be playing for him, and praying for you, this weekend. All 5 grades for Manly Cricket Club will be wearing black arm bands this coming weekend as a mark of respect for Lachlan.

Rest in Peace Lachlan Muldoon. May your edges always go for 4, and your full tosses always pick up wickets.

Lachie Muldoon
