Waratahs Eager To Resurrect Their Winning Formula

Tahs Swing For The Skies
Winning Formula

MANLY will look to rediscover that winning feeling when they host in-form Eastern Suburbs today.

After a flying start to their campaign, the Waratahs have stuttered in recent weeks, losing to St George in the Twenty20 Cup on home soil and finishing emptyhanded after a frustrating draw with Gordon at Chatswood Oval.

Quick Jimmy Munting returns from injury, while Aidan Baker has been elevated from second grade and Jarrod Walter will make his first grade debut.

“I am really happy for those guys, Flat (Baker) has proven himself at this level many times and Jarrod deserves his chance,’’ captain Tim Cruickshank said.

“Jarrod has plugged away for many years, I am sure he can do a job at the top of the order with Cameron Merchant unavailable.”

Wicketkeeper Jay Lenton is out with a broken finger sustained with NSW’s second XI this week, with Adam Crosthwaite a more than handy replacement.
