The Manly Warringah Waratahs are proud to launch the Manly for Manly Community Program for the 2026/27 season.
The program is proudly sponsored by Joy Kinsey TravelManagers, reinforcing the Club’s longstanding commitment to making a positive difference across the Northern Beaches.
Built on the belief that representing Manly Warringah means more than simply performing on the cricket field, the program brings together players, supporters, local organisations and charities to strengthen the community we proudly call home.
The Manly for Manly initiative has been an important part of the Club’s community engagement for many years, with Waratahs players participating in the Beach2Beach Fun Run for approximately a decade, alongside longstanding junior cricket development activities and charitable fundraising. Over that time, the program has continued to evolve, providing opportunities for players across both the Men’s and Women’s programs to give back to the community that supports them. For 2026/27, the Waratahs are taking that commitment even further, with a renewed focus on meaningful, hands-on engagement and creating a lasting impact beyond fundraising alone.
At the heart of Manly for Manly is a clear mission: to build a stronger, more connected Northern Beaches community through meaningful engagement, inclusive participation and a shared sense of pride in representing Manly Warringah, both on and off the cricket field. The program is designed to develop well-rounded individuals, encourage leadership and empathy among players, strengthen local relationships and inspire the next generation of cricketers and volunteers. These ambitions will be delivered through two key pillars: Community Impact and Charity Partnerships.
The Community Impact pillar will see the Waratahs strengthen their involvement with Northern Beaches Junior Cricket, continue their participation in the popular Beach2Beach Fun Run, support Australian Red Cross Lifeblood through group blood donations and introduce local beach clean-up activities. A particular focus will be expanding opportunities for young cricketers to connect with senior Manly Warringah players, building on the Club’s successful junior training blitzes. Future initiatives will explore additional coaching and mentoring opportunities at Manly Oval and the Manly Cricket Indoor Centre, helping to connect the next generation with the Club’s established players and pathways.
The Charity Partnerships pillar remains equally important, with the Club continuing its support of The Burdekin Association, Happy Days and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Burdekin Association, which supports vulnerable young people experiencing homelessness, remains a key beneficiary of the Waratahs’ Beach2Beach fundraising efforts. The Club will also continue supporting Happy Days, Mike Pawley’s Cambodian school charity, while building on the success of its Pink Day fundraising and awareness initiatives for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Alongside these established relationships, players will be encouraged to contribute their time through volunteering, working bees and other practical activities that deliver tangible benefits to those in need.
Central to the 2026/27 program is the generous support of Joy Kinsey from TravelManagers, whose sponsorship will help the Waratahs continue building connections and delivering positive outcomes throughout the community. The Club is delighted to have Joy supporting an initiative that reflects the importance of local relationships, community spirit and giving back. Her involvement will be recognised across Manly for Manly activities and communications throughout the season, highlighting the valuable role that community-minded businesses play in supporting initiatives beyond the cricket field.
