Waratahs team up with Manly Sea Eagles in whole-of-peninsula community partnership

Manly Warringah Waratahs are proud to announce a landmark community partnership with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, uniting two of the Northern Beaches’ most recognisable sporting organisations under a shared vision of community, collaboration, and connection.

The partnership formalises what has long been an organic relationship between the two clubs and will see both working together on initiatives that enhance local engagement, create stronger pathways for young athletes, and celebrate the shared identity of the Manly Warringah region.

Few sporting organisations across our area carry the full “Manly Warringah” name, and both clubs recognise the pride and responsibility that comes with representing the entire peninsula. This partnership reinforces that unity, strengthening the link between two pillars of Northern Beaches sport.

Under a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, the Sea Eagles and Manly Cricket will collaborate on a variety of community-focused activities and cross-club initiatives. These include the introduction of an annual charity cricket match at Manly Oval, joint business networking opportunities, and collaboration across media, podcast, and promotional platforms. The partnership also includes employment pathway sharing, with both clubs committed to connecting young people to opportunities within their respective sporting networks.

Manly Cricket President Andrew Fraser said the agreement reflected the strong cultural alignment between the two organisations.

“We’re thrilled to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Sea Eagles under the Manly Warringah banner. When two clubs with shared values and community focus come together, the benefits extend far beyond the field. This partnership allows us to collaborate on projects that will have genuine impact for our members, our partners, and our wider community.”

Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov said the collaboration formalises a relationship that has existed informally for years.

“The Sea Eagles and Manly Cricket have always been part of the same community fabric. This partnership gives both clubs a clear framework to do more together — for juniors, for local charities, and for everyone who proudly calls the Northern Beaches home.”

Both clubs will work to strengthen their grassroots and community programs through shared activations, knowledge sharing, and cross-promotion, with a particular focus on building connections between the next generation of players and the broader sporting community. There will also be an emphasis on supporting local causes, beginning with the inaugural charity cricket match in support of the Burdekin Association.

To celebrate this partnership, we are offering the chance for a member of our local community to win a signed Manly Sea Eagles jersey, as well as a signed Manly Warringah Waratahs Men’s 1st Grade white playing shirt.

Simply CLICK HERE to register for the competition. The winner will be drawn on Friday 12th of December 2025.

With the partnership now in place through to end of 2026, the Sea Eagles and Manly Cricket are excited to continue building on the long-standing bond between two proud clubs that have always shared the same community and coastline — united by one name: Manly Warringah.
