The Manly Warringah Waratahs Manly for Manly community program, in conjunction with Cricket NSW and the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket Association, will be helping launch the Woolworths Cricket Blast competition in the Manly Warringah area.
Cricket NSW is committed to significantly increasing the number of 5-12 year-olds playing cricket over the next three years.
To achieve this, they recognize the importance of engaging more young participants in their Woolworths Cricket Blast programs, which are essential to the growth and vitality of our local affiliated clubs.
As a club that understands our role in making cricket thrive on the Northern Beaches, we are only too happy to be part of this growth.
The Woolworths Cricket Blast is a program aims at getting young boys and girls involved in the game of cricket for the first time. We will be launching this year’s program at Graham Reserve on Saturday 31st August at Graham Reserve.
Arrival time is 12.45pm or a 1pm start, with the event finishing at around 3pm.

Collaborating with Cricket NSW, our Men’s and Women’s playing group will help run batting, bowling and fielding stations. There will be a catching competition after the stations are done, as well as a Q&A with the Manly players at the end.
Each of the 8 junior clubs will also be in attendance for each player and family member to talk to about how they can get involved in cricket this coming season.

Everyone Welcome: Kids aged 8 years old.
Over in a Flash: Each session is 60 minutes of fun in a safe and inclusive environment.
Skills and Thrills: Make pals, catch skills, throw like a boss, and teamwork like a pro!
Cricket Heroes: Kids will be able to rock the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes with their own Cricket Blast pack.
All the Gear, No Fear: We provide all necessary equipment to ensure everyone can participate
Safety First: We use plastic bats and a rubber ball to ensure the safety of all participants.
Adapted Equipment: Activities use softer balls of different sizes so kids can participate and develop at their own pace.
Focus on Abilities: We will provide an environment that focuses on kids’ abilities.
It promises to be a fantastic day and we look forward to seeing as many local players there as possible.
