Last Sunday the TravelSIM Manly Warringah Waratahs completed a coaching clinic for 70 junior players at Manly Oval.
With our annual T20 double header on later in the day, it was the perfect opportunity for some of our local 9 to 12 year olds to have a run around Manly Oval.
The kids were split up into 7 groups and run through a variety of different drills design to improve their cricket while also making sure they get maximum enjoyment.
Members of our playing group were a big part of the day, taking time out of their own day to run each station and help mentor the next generation of local cricketers.
Our playing group are absolutely instrumental in putting together a day like this and it was great to see them once again putting their hand up to make a difference to our local cricket community.
We hope all of the kids enjoyed the day and had a ton of fun.
The 2nd and final coaching clinic of the year will be at Manly Oval on the 11th December. Invites have been sent to all local clubs via our Community Assistant Ted Lindsay.
We would also like to thank the team at Help Me Coach Cricket for running the cricket side of the day. They put together all the drills and organised our players and the kids across all of those drills, as well as providing all the equipment.
