Tahs gearing up for 3rd Annual NBCF Pink Day

Join us for the Manly Warringah District Cricket Club’s 3rd Annual National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Pink Day on Sunday, December 8th at Manly Oval. Together, let’s make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

The NBCF is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research. Since its founding in 1994, NBCF has invested over $200 million into Australian research, helping to reduce the breast cancer death rate in Australia by 40%. However, the fight is far from over:

  • 3,300 Australians (including 33 men) will die from breast cancer this year.

  • 58 Australians are diagnosed every day.

  • 9 Australians die every day from this disease (NBCF, 2024).

MWDCC is proud to partner with NBCF once again to support their vision:
Zero Deaths From Breast Cancer.

The T20 triple header will kick off with the Under 18s Brewer Shield, going into 2nd Grade Women at 12:15, with 1st Grade kicking off at 3:30pm.

The day promises to be more than just cricket, as you will be able enjoy a sausage sizzle, bar, and bake sale, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

We will also be hosting a special ticketed, premium event starting from 1pm, at the Room At The Top (RATT).  This special ticketed gathering offers:

  • Inspirational guest speakers sharing personal experiences with breast cancer
  • Champagne on arrival (with additional drinks available for purchase)
  • A delicious grazing board prepared by Abby Gainsford of GatherGraze&Co
  • Exciting raffle prizes
  • The best view of the 1st Grade Women’s match

Tickets for this event are $45, and a portion of both ticket and bar sales will support the NBCF. Tickets will be available to purchase shortly.

Whether you will be attending the official NBCF event or will be enjoying the cricket around the ground, we encourage everyone to wear pink on the day to show solidarity for NBCF’s mission of achieving Zero Deaths From Breast Cancer.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day of cricket, community spirit, and meaningful fundraising. Let’s come together to support life-saving breast cancer research!
