The Manly Warringah Waratahs are proud to announce Anthony Nicey as the November recipient of the Westfield Warringah Mall Volunteer of the Month award. This award is available to Manly Warringah Junior Clubs and Manly Warringah Waratahs volunteers and is proudly sponsored by Westfield Warringah Mall.
Anthony has dedicated an incredible amount of time and effort over the past three seasons to both boys and girls cricket as the MWJCA St Pius X delegate, Wakehurst girls coach and this season as manager of the NSWYC Margaret Peden Shield U15 team.
He coached the Wakehurst Diamonds U13’s undefeated premiers team in 2017/18 and is currently the Wakehurst U15 girls coach. Anthony’s involvement starts at pre-season with planning, organising teams/school grounds, training, rep trials, social team get-togethers – and then continues all year round!
He is highly organised, efficient and passionate – skills that equipped him well for the role of U13 girls Mollie Dive Manager in 2018/19. For this season’s U15 girls rep team he has already organised the post season carnival to Orange in January, which will be their first time there.
MWJCA and the boys and girls on the Northern Beaches are hugely truly grateful for Anthony’s passion and commitment.
We presented Anthony with the award in recognition of his club focus, community spirit and hard work. He is exactly the type of enthusiastic helper that helps drive the continuous growth and success of junior cricket, both boys and girls, on the Northern Beaches. He received a certificate of the award as well as a $250 voucher courtesy of our great friends at Westfield Warringah Mall.
Congratulations Anthony!
