Bank of Queensland Manly back for another season

It’s with great pleasure that we announce that BOQ Manly are once again sponsoring the mighty Waratahs for 2014/15. But in a move consistent with a lot of our corporate partners, BOQ Manly have also increased their investment in the Waratahs for the coming season.
Local owners Drew and Jodie Johnson were introduced to the club 7 years ago through a mutual acquaintance, and have been partners ever since. They are fantastic supporters of the local community, which is one of the main reasons why they are once again involved with the Manly Warringah Waratahs.

Over the last few seasons, Drew and Jodie have obtained and kept some of the Waratahs best business. They are currently looking after the home loan and banking of Steve O’Keefe, Adam Crosthwaite and Cameron Merchant, all current or ex-first class cricketers. To say the boys are happy with the service they receive is an understatement, especially Cameron Merchant.

“I’ve known Drew for a while now and the service and wisdom he has provided me has been amazing”, said Merchant. “I spoke to Drew originally just looking for advice, and I was amazed at how forthcoming he was, even though at the time I didn’t have any business with him, and he wasn’t expecting any. He just wanted to help me out because he was a great guy and was looking out for my best interests. When I was in the market for a home loan, it was just a natural progression to go through BOQ Manly.”

BOQ Manly will once again grace the stumps of the Manly Warringah Waratahs at our Manly Oval, Grahams Reserve and Mike Pawley home grounds, as they have for the last couple of seasons. They are also confirmed as an official club sponsor of the Waratahs, which includes various promotional and branding opportunities. Drew and Jodie will also be holding a home buying seminar for all current and ex-players, including family and friends, on Tuesday 14th October at Manly Oval. RSVP to Joel Mason on joel.mason@manlycricket.com if you would like to attend.

“It’s just such a great relationship”, explained Drew, “especially after all these years. We originally met President Andrew Fraser when the club was struggling a little, but we saw the potential in the people involved and the culture of the club, and we wanted to be part of it. To see where the club is now with so many of their great initiatives is really amazing, especially considering we have seen the transformation over such a long period of time.”

BOQ Manly are located in the heart of the Corso on Rialto Square. If you are looking for a home loan investment or just looking to set-up a bank account, BOQ Manly fit the bill perfectly. Get in touch with Drew on Drew.Johnson@boq.com.au or Jodie on Jodie.Johnson@boq.com.au. You can also visit them at http://boq.findnearest.com.au/findnearest.asp?
