It’s with great pleasure that we announce that Jarrod Walter and Joel Mason have been named Co-Club Captains for the coming season.
Mason has done it for a few seasons now, with Walter being a new comer to the scene. However we think that he is perfect for the role. Taking the mickey out of people is second nature to him, and his infectious personality will no doubt resonate with the playing group at the club.
Club Captain is ultimately a role that can be whatever you want it to be. Traditionally it is about organising social events, but ultimately it’s about culture. Culture is what brings a playing group together, and the Club Captain is an important cog in this. Both Jarrod and Joel are available to the playing group if they have any issues or concerns and don’t want to speak to the captains or coaches, while at the same time fulfilling the ripe old tradition of organising social events.

Joel and Jarrod will again be running the training session discussion each Thursday evening, as well as holding our post match-day presentations back at Manly Bowling Club (look out for some big news about this). They will also be MC’ing the season launch that is being held at Manly Bowling Club just before the start of the season.
