The Raydel Manly Warringah Waratahs have named men’s and women’s sides for this weekends upcoming premier cricket fixtures. The Men’s grades head over the Spit Bridge to take on local rivals Mosman, who currently sit one spot above on the club championship. Women’s 1st and 2nd Grade face Sydney, while Brewers host Universities. Women’s 3’s have a bye this round.
The Men’s sides were out in force last Saturday, bagging 5 from 5 wins, with multiple bonus points rewarded too. Jake Carden was once again unstoppable, as he toiled again for his 2nd 5fa in two matches. The top two Women’s grades both had forgettable losses, however Brewers and 3rd grade both triumphed, with Ellie James taking 5 wickets in her 10 over spell for Brewers.
1st Grade welcome back quick Greg West, along with spinner Steve O’Keefe. 2’s gain Jacob O’Sullivan and Sam Gainsford who return from the top grade, while 3’s are also affected by the ripple with Dhillon and Counsell coming down from 2’s. Jack Hobson returns to 4th Grade, while 5’s again name an unchanged side after their BP win last week.
Women’s 1st Grade gain the expertise of Sarah Turner with the gloves and stick in hand, as they look to turn around their recent form slump. 2nd grade make three changes, both McManus and Hughes returning from 1’s, and Gilbert being brought up from 3’s. Brewers make just the one change with Hiskett-Jones returning to the XI.
