Big name players return to ease selections – Men’s and Women’s Teams 29-30 January 2021/22

The Raydel Manly Warringah Waratahs have named Men’s and Women’s sides for the upcoming round matches. Men’s sides face Easts in what should be a grueling day of cricket for all sides, while Women’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade play Gordon and North Sydney. Brewers venture out to Grahame Thomas to face Bankstown. This round also marks the return of one day cricket for the Women’s sides, after a long stint of T20’s.

Last round was incredibly successful for the whole club, with 10 out of 10 sides taking the cake, 3 of those with bonus points. However, the Omicron variant has once again hugely impacted Men’s selections this week as a number of players must sit out due to it, but a number of big name players are returning across the grades.

There has been a heap of movement among all the grades this week, however there are three star inclusions in 1st Grade, with the Edwards brothers both returning from BBL duties along with Ollie Davies. 2’s receive Ben Bryant and Jacob O’Sullivan to boost the top order, while Lachie Coyte makes his debut with the gloves. 3’s have made a bunch of changes, with a 3rd grade debutant in the mix as Liam Dinan suits up for them. In 4’s, Jake Osborne returns to offer his batting all-rounder expertise, while Andrew Boulton plays his first grade game of the season after struggling with a back injury for the first half of the season. 5’s gain Keelan Mendel to round out the top order as they look to maintain a finals spot.

Women’s 1st grade have two debutants this week, with Niamh Bullen and Claire Waddington joining the side after impressive performances in 2nd grade. 2nd grade have five changes, with Chloe Osborne, Natalie Jonkers and Ellen Hall returning, while Stacey McManus and Michelle Cox make their 2nd grade debuts. Brewers welcome back Ellie James, Shae Hiskett-Jones and Sallie Molyneux. Finally 3rd grade have made a couple of inclusions with Sallie Molyneux and Mason White returning.
