Manly Warringah Cricket Coaching School get behind Shivani Mehta in 2023/24

The Manly Warringah Cricket Coaching School (MWCCS) was established in 1992 by Shawn Bradstreet, David Ford and David Patterson as an avenue for young cricketers on the Northern Beaches to develop their skills and enhance their enjoyment for the game. In 2022 they celebrated 30 years of clinics.

David Ford is now the sole head coach. David played his junior cricket with Palm Beach RSL Cricket Club (since absorbed into Peninsular Cricket Club) and St Paul’s College in Manly. He progressed through the Manly-Warringah Junior Representative teams to a successful first grade career with Manly-Warringah.

He is one of a select group to play 1st grade cricket and rugby union for Manly.

A current school teacher on the Northern Beaches, David has worked as the Metropolitan North Development Officer for Cricket NSW, and has been Head Coach at Warringah Shires and Assistant Coach at Manly-Warringah Cricket Club.

David is a qualified Level 3 Cricket Coach under the National Cricket Accreditation Scheme.

He currently coaches numerous Emerging Blues players and has coached current NSW representatives Jackson Bird and Ollie Davies.

Shivani has been a superstar or our club since joining in 2021/22. Her performances with the bat have her as one of the top cricketers across NSW Women’s NSW Premier Cricket.

Her calm and patient approach has meant plenty of substantial innings over the last few years, culminating in making her NSW debut last season.

She is a huge part o our present and future, and someone to build our atting around or the next decade.
