Manly Warringah Women’s Cricket Pathway & Brewer Shield – Information Night Wed 25 July

With last year’s announcement of the Manly Warringah Women’s cricket pathway and Styleness Manly Warringah Waratahs entry of a team in the prestigious U17 Brewer Shield women’s competition, there has continued to be much interest in the growth of female cricket in our area. This interest includes various questions from players and families in relation to the opportunities for our local girls to play higher levels of cricket beyond their junior club and junior representative cricket.

As a result we will continue to invest significantly in female cricket once again this season.

We are inviting all Manly junior female cricketer to an Information Meeting on the Women’s Cricket pathway and the Waratahs Cricket program to be held on Wednesday 25th July commencing at 6.30pm.

The location of the meeting will be the clubhouse at Weldon Oval Clubhouse, Stirgess Ave, Curl Curl (upstairs in the meeting room above the dressing rooms). Executive and coaching representatives from our club and MWJCA will also be attending the meeting.

The meeting is open to all female players irrespective of whether they have already elected to play premier cricket with the Waratahs this season, are unsure or may not be playing this season but could be interested in future seasons.

Click here for the agenda. We intend to outline to the players and their families information regarding the Women’s cricket pathway from grass roots, to local junior club cricket, junior representative cricket and into the current Manly Brewer Shield program

We also have plans for fielding a women’s 3rd grade team (senior – U16 and over) in the premier competition this season to continue this pathway.

The information meeting should last approximately 1 hour and we will also be taking any questions you may have.

Please confirm your attendance by email to Ross Denny at ross.denny@honeywell.com or on 0415 039 320 by Friday 20 July.
