Thanks to the unwavering support from our Major Partner Mounties Group, along with the GWS GIANTS Foundation, the vision of Rio’s Legacy has resulted in the build of children’s hospice in Western Sydney – Mounties Care Cottage!
Rio’s Legacy was created to assist and support children with life-limiting conditions, through specialised respite and end-of-life care facilities for babies, children and their families. Named after 2-year-old Rio James Fowler, a sweet Western Sydney local who lost his life to terminal illness, the aim of Rio’s Legacy is to increase the number of pediatric hospices in Australia available to families in need.
Continuing their amazing contribution to the local community, Mounties Group has provided $13 Million in funding to help get the project off the ground.
