It’s with great pleasure that the TravelSim Waratahs announce the preliminary Green Shield Squad for the upcoming campaign. This side features an array of young talent already representing the club at grade level, and we can’t wait to see these young men push for silverware this season.
The Green Shield competition is the leading U16’s cricket representative competition in Australia, with all Sydney grade clubs represented. Apart from the competition itself, all points accumulated by Green Shield teams go towards the prestigious Sydney Grade Club Championship, won by the Tahs last season.
This years squad features some familiar names including Jack Edwards and Aidan Bariol who have both recently debuted in 2nd grade. Other players including Isaiah Vumbaca, Ned Hole, Jacob O’Sullivan, Nick Osborne and Jonah Anderson are all an integral part of Simon Waddington’s 5th grade side this season as well, highlighting the outstanding talent and depth in the squad.
We are extremely excited to watch this side throughout the season, and hope everybody supports the boys beginning on Thursday 17th December when they take on Eastern Suburbs at the picturesque Manly Oval from 10am. Good luck guys!
