Saskia Horley Nominated for ICC Emerging Cricket of the Year

The Mounties Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to announce that Women’s 1st Grade star Saskia Horely has been nominated as one of four Women’s ICC Emerging Cricketers of the Year for 2024.

Horley, who represents Scotland at the International level, has had a breakout 2024, which started with helping Scotland qualify for its first ever T20 World Cup.

Horley also became the first-ever ODI centurion for Scotland, scoring 100 off 121 balls against Papua New Guinea. Horley also later took 4/24, showing her incredible all round ability.

Her performance in the Tri-Series against PNG and the Netherlands, also helped Scotland qualify for the ODI World Cup.

The year ended with Scotland’s appearance at the T20 World Cup in the UAE, and Horley made an immediate impact in that tournament, taking 3-13 against Bangladesh in the opening game.

Throughout 2024, Saskia amassed 418 runs across all formats from 15 games, and also took 12 wickets and 4 catches.
