Waratahs Indoor facility DA approved by Council

The Mounties Manly Warringah Waratahs are pleased to announce that the DA or our new indoor facility in Boola Place at Cromer has been approved by Northern beaches council.

We received the initial approval notification from Council just prior to Christmas. It is a momentous milestone for our Club.

Thank you to the significant amount of people that submitted support for the proposal, we have no doubt that this contributed significantly to the outcome and shows that the local support for the facility is there.

This facility is desperately needed for all cricketers on the Northern Beaches. It has been almost 30 years since the Peninsula has had an indoor training centre and will do wonders for both junior and senior cricket in the area.

Waratahs President Andrew raser has welcome the news.

“It’s been a goal of our club to get this facility up and running or the last 25-30 years. Ever since the last indoor facility closed down in rooklae, it’s been a piece of the puzzle that has been missing.”

“There have been a lot of technological advancement since then, and we are looking to make this facility as high tech as possible.”

“It will be something that will moe cricket forward on the Northern Beaches, something that we know all stakeholders are keen to see”.

We now move onto the build planning phase, after which a tender will be put out for build. At this stage we are looking for the build to begin just before the 2024/25 cricket season,

A reminder of our wonderful fly through of the facility done by our designers, showing the flow and what it will look like end to end…. pretty cool.
