The Beach2Beach Charity Fun Run is on again in 2023 and the Manly Warringah Waratahs women’s and men’s playing groups will once again enter a team.
As per previous years, our chosen charity partner is Burdekin and we hope to raise a lot of money to help this very worthwhile cause.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday 27th August, with the run starting at Dee Why Beach and finishing at Newport Beach.
We first entered a team in 2019 and while we weren’t the biggest team, we were proud to raise more funds than any other team. After a hiatus for COVID we entered again last year and won prize money for entering the 2nd largest team which we donated to our charity partner, Burdekin.
Our community team has liaised with our women’s and men’s coaches, and the run is part of our official pre-season program. Our playing group is ready and raring to go.
All players will be participating, and we encourage members of the Manly Warringah cricket community to join us in the event under our banner. It doesn’t matter if you want to sprint, run, jog or walk. Burdekin is a fantastic local charity and one of our official club partners. We all know how big a problem homelessness is, we see it as a club on a weekly basis. Burdekin do amazing things in this space and we’re very proud to be working with them and helping in any way we can.
