As part of our History Digitisation project, the digitisation of all the available Annual Reports since our inception in 1878 has been completed.
It is part of a huge project to digitise all of our history that will ensure our past is kept for generations to come.
Unfortunately our Annual Reports only go back to 1902-03 due to a fire at Manly Oval in the 1920’s burning everything before then. This fire also wiped out all copies of our 1903-04 and 1904-05 Annual Reports.
So much of our history is captured from these documents.
Before websites, MyCricket, Instagram and Facebook, the Annual Report was one of the only ways in which the general public could get information about our club, and so this publication was an important part of how the club operated.
As a result, the information about players, events, challenges and triumphs in these Annual Reports are very important in preserving our history and passing on what our club is about to future club members.
If you can help with any artifacts from our history, whether that be photo’s, score books or otherwise, or if you would be willing to help in the completion of this project, please contact Joel Mason on email@example.com
