Following strong representative cricket performances in the U/13’s and U/14’s, the boys have been picked as a part of the Sydney Sixers Squads for their respective age groups.
In each age group, four Metropolitan squads of 13 players have been selected. Two sides from each division will represent each of the Sydney Big Bash League franchises, the Thunder and Sixers.
The tournament highlights the future of Cricket NSW, and puts on display the high talent that is emerging on the scene, therefore demonstrating the great potential of these young Manly Cricketers.
Representing the U/13’s sides, the six boys who were selected from Manly are; Andrew Boulton, Roopmehar Dhillon, Jake Hutchings Toby Laughton, Joshua Lawson, Angus McConnel while Sebastian Bush and Milo May represent the u/14’s Manly boys.
Congratulations and good luck to all the players selected, and we look forward to seeing you all in the Grade setup in the near future.
In other great news, Green Shield Skipper and Manly Grade Player Joel Davies was also recently selected to represent the NSW Metro side in the u/15’s State Championship to take place in February 2019.
It is a well deserved reward for the amazing performances Joel has been having with the bat, and continues the rise of the Davies family in the NSW and Aussie Cricket setup.
Congratulations and good luck to Joel for the upcoming tournament, as well as with the Green Shield boys and for the remainder of the 2018/19 Grade Season.
