The Raydel Manly Warringah Waratahs for Men’s Round 3 and Women’s, PG’s, and Men’s 1st Grade T20 round 2. The Men’s club will be looking to bounce back after a dismal last round, while the Women’s sides will look to continue their momentum from last weekend after a clean sweep of wins across all grades.
Men’s 1st Grade had a disappointing loss despite some heroics with the bat from skipper Lenton, who scored yet another ton for the club. 2’s and 3’s also suffered defeat, while 4th and 5th grade both took home wins off the back of tons from Lachie Coyte in 4’s and Jack Melchiore in 5’s. All Women’s sides took home convincing wins, with a special mention to the Women’s 1st grade side for their first game and win in the 1st grade competition since 1983/84.
Men’s 1st Grade welcome back NSW gun bat Ollie Davies, as well as Tom Lammonby, who makes his first grade debut in only his second game for the tahs since arriving from England last week. 2’s welcome the experienced Cam Merchant and young quick Josh Seward back to the side, while 3’s enjoy the company of Josh Wigney returning and Ellis Raymond moving up from 4’s. 4th grade brings back Keelan Mendel, skipper Andrew Rochford, and both Toby Laughton and Bryan Mendel who return after a year or two away from the club. 5th grade make 3 changes with Hayden Calvert, Will Mathieson and the experienced Ben Falconer returning to the side. 1st Grade T20 maintains a similar side, while PG’s welcome back skipper Ollie Davies, James Waddington, along with possible PG debutants Bryn Mendel and Matthew Somerville who round out the squad of 13.
Mia Waddington joins the Women’s 1st grade side in replacement of the unavailable Sarah Turner, while Mia Nel comes into the second grade 12. Brewers have named an unchanged side, with every reason to after their win last week. Women’s 3’s welcome back Renee Hough to skipper the side as well as Brooke Frew who will make her 3rd Grade debut.
